My friend did hit me up about the Lexus meet though, I was gonna go but decided not to last minute.

Luckily, The Perfect Exposure captured some shots and allowed me to share some of his shots with you on my blogging site as well.

Below are just a few pictures of what he captured, all of the pics can be found here ->

Yes, I did find out they were coming out a while back ago, but have only been interested in the lug pattern and sizes. Hammer on me for not posting it up like I should though.

“Regardless of the popular roadster TE37V But before its release (NA, NB) has decided to develop a corresponding size. Release is scheduled for 6 February. Please forward to welcoming you.”

For those that wouldn’t mind a smaller size (13″ to be exact) as well as a replica. Evasive Motorsports is selling a replica wheel of the smaller sized TE37 for around $350 a pair.

The 2010 year hasn’t started off well in the world, but it is still alive and well in the Honda tuning world.

Meets are starting to pop off and new builds are starting to shine. Everyone is looking forward to seeing new things, and I’m sure they will. It’s a year of excitement for some, and a year of possible downfalls for others. For whatever it is, lets all get together and get through it.

As I’m sure everyone knows, at these meets, there tends to be the rotten apples that spoil it for everybody. I’m sure it will be mentioned already, but I’ll mention it to you now. Please respect the people that give you a place to hold a Honda meet that doesn’t get bothered by the local law enforcement. Most of you guys take this for granted and rev the shit out of the lot, or crack VTEC as you hit the street. C’mon, seriously?

Like no one has heard VTEC before, bitch please. All of you are stupid dumb ricers that burn the scene and kill it for everyone else. Even if nothing happens when you do it, it will surely happen some time. And it hurts the Honda hobbyists in the long run really. It’s not like the Honda scene doesn’t have a bad image as it is right? (Sarcasm by the way)

With that said, I’ll list some of them down for you guys, the ones coming sooner will be on top.

- Norm Reeves Honda is back with their monthly meets. Great turnouts and great staff that control the environment, too bad it has a bunch of baddies though. But lets turn a new side and make this one fun and enjoyable for everyone.

What: The Return of our Monthly NRH Meets
When: February 10th, 2010 (Wednesday) @ 7PM to 10PM (And every 2nd Wednesday of the month thereafter)
Where: Norm Reeves Honda in Cerritos, 18500 Studebaker Road, Cerritos, CA 90703

- A “Hatch Ball”, for those who have hatchbacks. I’m not sure what the meet starter really meant, but it seems as if it’s Honda only, and he’s saying “EG/EF/GD/GE” lol. Technically, Integra coupes are allowed as well and blah blah blah. But this will probably turn into an all out fest, just be sure to come check it out. As his last meet was pretty poppin’ as well.

Import model, Nina Mascunana, will be there as well. She will be autographing the November 09′ issues of Import Tuner (she was on it )

A live DJ will be there, as well as these vendors -

Skunk2
Smart Wax – $10 bottles and waxes!
Bisimoto
HPS
A1 motorsports – $50 HIDS!

What: Hatch Ball
When: February 13th, 2010 @ 9AM to 4PM (This one should have some giveaways!)
Where: Super Autotoyz in Stanton, CA

- Island Motorsports will be hosting a meet at their shop! This is great since I’ve been there a few times, but have never really knew what they were really about. This may open up the shop to more newcomers or not. Meet is worded to have BBQ and drinks available, as well as an inventory-sale (I hope they mean with discounts) and vendors!

What: Island Motorsports Meet!
When: March 6th, 2010 @ 10AM to 3PM
Where: 8641 Whitaker St. Buena Park, CA 90621

- The big one, the annual, 2010 Eibach Meet has arrived! Well, not for a few more months, but it’ll come within time LOL! Best known for the biggest Honda meet in the nation. One thing people like to confuse this for is a car show, when it’s a car MEET. It’s started by enthusiasts like us, and finished by enthusiasts that are us. Yes, there are fees if you want to park inside, but that goes towards making the meet possible. And the fees aren’t bad at all, it gives you a free of mind, y’know?

Be sure to come early for easier parking slots, and just enjoy the day. It’ll surely be super hot as always and make sure to enjoy the free food that is there. Free pizza is the usual case, as well as hot dogs, burgers, and I believe a taco truck (don’t quote me on that).

There will be a HUGE $5,000 worth of prizes, raffle giveaway! I’ll be sure to be at this one, and I don’t even own a Honda!

Fees –

VIP – $25 (Park in Front of Building)
Regular – $15 (Anywhere Around the Building)

PayPal – ryanhoegner@gmail.com (Make sure to bring a printed receipt)

I’ll post the roll-in times when things are updated!

What: Eibach 2010 MEET!
When: May 16th, 2010 (Sunday) @ 11AM to Whenever
Where: Eibach Springs 264 Mariah Circle, Corona, CA 92879-1751

- Tri-City Meet 2010, another huge meet that is pretty awesome. This one is still in talks, and I will update you guys on which locations will be active for this meet this year. For those that don’t know about the Tri-City meet, it usually starts off at Super Autotoyz, and then goes to 2 other spots. So it’s a pretty nice cruise together with fellow enthusiasts. As things progress, I’ll be sure to update the word on it.

It’s been a little bit since I’ve updated this, but here’s some fresh content for you folks.

While coming home tonight, I was gathering some thoughts on how it feels to move onto something else rather than have the usual Honda. My first car was a 97′ Honda Civic DX hatchback, in Dark Amethyst Pearl. Slow, nice body, nice motor, and stock! It was a great base for me to work on. Unfortunately, I was more into cutting corners and not into complimenting the looks of it. But then I continued onto an 95′ Acura Integra GSR sedan, had registration issues, went onto a 92′ Honda Civic CX then onto a 92′ Honda Civic LX sedan. The Civic sedan was the last straw, reason being, it got stolen.

Yes yes, some guys won’t let some thieves stop them from the hobby, nor did it stop me. I just happened to step out of the Honda scene. Looking at it from afar, it looked real ugly. It made sense for me to step out really. The funds weren’t there to take my car to the level I wanted, I don’t live in an area that is ‘friendly’ to Hondas (Santa Ana), and really..I just want to have fun at malls rather then have thoughts of my car staying in the parking lot I parked it at. All in all, the answer was there for me, move on.

This was exciting.

I signed up onto various forums, looking for the right car. I did research, Google was my friend, and put in work. Looking for info on Infiniti G20′s, ol’ Nissan Sentras, Mazda Miatas, Nissan 240′s, Toyota Supra’s, and even VW’s.

I ended up with the Miata.

Why did I end up with Miatas? Simple.

Rear-Wheel drive, light, handles well, easy on the gas, and not expensive at all. All that, in a stock package. How can you NOT like it? I realize people think it’s a girl’s car and all, but it’s so rewarding to drive! Sure, it’s underpowered, but I only need it to go to school and back home. Yes, it’s a 2-seater, only my girlfriend and I usually ride in it anyways. And so far, I’ve been able to get away in situations where I’d normally have to give somebody a ride home too!

It’s an awesome car overall, after you get over the ‘chick car’ phase.

So far, it’s almost been a year since I’ve owned my Miata. And I have to say, it’s been an extraordinary journey with it. With minimal expected hiccups, it runs great. Am I bothered by cops? No. Am I bothered by revving ricers? No. Do I lose sleep at night? No, I gain sleep. All the things that come with owning a Honda, is virtually gone.

The things I do miss most about Hondas though, is the aftermarket support. There’s so many things you can do, whether it’s choosing different OEM parts on your car, or swapping motors, there’s a lot of ways to be different..the scene just so happens to be the same. As of late, Hondas are just following the steps of VW guys. The major difference between the Honda and VW scene is, the people. Go to a Honda meet, expect to be stared down. Go to a VW meet, expect to be greeted with open arms.

I don’t miss that at all.

But in conclusion, the Honda game is fun. Fun in the beginning, and even more fun when you step out of it. Not hating on Hondas at all though. They’re great cars to mess with, very easy to work on, and easy to learn off of. But there’s so many other options to choose from, that are much more rewarding, I don’t see why one should stay with Honda all the way.

Want handles? Miata

Want speed? Supra (old gen)

Want RWD + crazy wheel fitment? 240SX (too bad the theft is on the rise)

Want FWD + Swaps + Rotas? Stay with Hondas. LOL, jk.

All in all, just do what you please. At the end of the day, we’re all in the same hobby. I just wanted to shed some light on how it feels to move on from a Hondur.

Thank you for reading volks.

Edit – I didn’t know this, but this dude took his car to UTAH. LOL! Good shit Anthony, have fun man.

Automatic. Four door. Accord.

Yea, those words don’t really sound like fun. Our Anthony thinks otherwise, taking his CB7 Honda Accord out to Solo on the cones in December. Yea yea, I’m a month off, who cares. Just see how bad ass this Accord is! There’s nothing special going on with the suspension, tire/wheel setup nor engine at all. Just gutted, tatted up with some stickers and it’s good.

I wasn’t personally there, since I fell asleep right when I was waiting for the fellas to arrive at my place. But I did hear he was putting in work like a champ. Beating out the other Accord that was there, which was more ‘properly’ setup for the course.

All in all, this is great. Just goes to show that you don’t need a swapped motor, or a slick tired up Type-Rx900 car to have fun. If Anthony can have this much fun with his cone attacking sedan, you can too. Register, prep, attack cones. ‘Nuff said.

Without further ado, check out these pics!

Alright, lets start this off with, Happy New Years!

Cool, right? LOL. Any ways, yes this is another car-enthusiast/hobby type blog that you can either have your eyes read on or simply just move on. Let me begin by saying that, no – TSP does not stand for Thick Shirted Penis. In fact, it stands for Team Speedy Projects. How did that come along? I’m not sure, I’m still a noobie in this group. I’ll explain that later.

So yes, this is another car blog. I, Lasty, will pretty much post the majority of material on here on and off. Some times involving our local car community, maybe our own TSP-related cars, the new internet craze, etc etc. This blog is intended to document our progress as a group, as well as show how time goes by in general.

I won’t be updating this every day, but will update it when there’s some good juicy news out there.

Enough with the blabber, onto our ‘group’. The name is, Team Speedy Projects-[Garage]. We’re not all into the JDM craze and such like that, we build our cars the way we want, and how we want. How did I get involved? – Well long story, but eventually I just became great friends with these guys. That’s pretty much how most car crews start any ways. Starts with the “love”, and most of the time everyone shares that “love”. So you guys just happen to hang out with each other more and more, eventually leading to other things! Sounds like a sexual relationship, jeez. LOL.

But yes, I was pretty much involved with the group more. Going to meets, hanging out, wrenching our cars, doing what we do. And the rest is history.

With that said, I’d like to give some info on the d00dz.

Anthony -
- Anthony drives a CB7 Accord. Automatic, crazy suspension ordeal (no no, nothing baller), and a lot of swag! Anthony’s a cool guy. Humble, quiet, but fun to hang around with. The dude loves wrenching, period. No matter what it is, he’s down to do it. Hell, he took his Accord to autocross it on a rainy day, and got some pretty good looks and impressions for the suspension setup he was running! RESPECT!

Ivan -
- Currently working on a new project since his old car got demolished. He’s the group’s CR-X lover. Why? I don’t know. He loves them. When I came into the group, he had a red CR-X with a B16A swap and probably was rolling on some Work Ewings for maybe a couple weeks, gave me a text that he couldn’t go to the car meet ’cause his car is done. So from there to now, he recently purchased a black CR-X Si shell. A very very clean shell, I look forward to posting progress pics on here sooner or later, whenever he allows. But for now, he mobs around in his dad’s white CR-X (m0ar moar CR-X) until he gets the black one running. He’s taking his time with it, not wanting to cut corners, so that speaks volumes on him.

Jimmy -
- Probably the ‘evil’ one out of all. Only because he drives a S13-Nissan 240SX that has a SR20DET, and is hated on by the Honda fellas LOL. But no, he’s also a wrencher. Only because his 240SX needs a new gasket almost every 2 weeks though. Hah! I believe he got pulled over the other night and got popped, didn’t hear the full story on it, but I’m hoping it’s not gonna be gone because of that. We’ll see how that goes.

Kevin Le -
- This guy is slick lol. Drives a Mini-S, I believe he’s boosting 18psi on his S/C and putting down a whopping 180whp to those front wheels. A cool guy inside and out. He’s definitely got a unique taste when it comes to modifying his car, but also loves the taste of function while he’s at it. One day, I want to carve some corners against his Mini -after I get more power

Fabian -
- MMmmmMMmm Fabo! This guy ALSO drives a 240SX, too bad it’s all stock and had a downgrade. Went from the dual cam to a single cam truck motor. Not to mention parts are breaking by the hour on that car. Clean body, no-good parts. Car is trash! LOL sorry Fabian. Fabo pretty much has big dreams for his car, but so much things come up, he hasn’t even modified the car yet! And he’s had it for a couple years now. That’s just how it is though, but his money woes got a breakthrough, he got a job! So who knows, maybe he’ll buy a tachometer for it, since it doesn’t work.

Myself -
- I drive a Mazda Miata, 90′. Car is all stock with some modified corner lights that were cut so they can be used as vents and signals at the same time. Function > Form yO! I used to be in the Honda game, and only had one car that I can say I did right. It was my former four-door Acura Integra, 95′. Clean on the inside and outside, and had my first legit set of wheels!! [5Zigen FN01R-C]. I went through 5 Hondas, and had the last straw when my last one got stolen. A real real beat up Civic that was supposed to be used as a beater, got stolen. So I bought the Miata and have never looked back since!

With that said,

I’d like to say, we’re a fun group of friends. We help each other out when we can, and when we do hang out- we can stand there for hours and hours just chatting it up. Whether it be a debate on which car scene is on top, or just laughing about what happened a second ago. It’s all good vibes, and that’s what matters. I hope you enjoyed reading this, and look forward to more. As I enjoy putting out all this stuff out for you to read.

Have a great 2010, and enjoy.
